The History of Aparecida Radio

In 1935, the Redemptorist Missionaries realized the importance of communication for the pastoral service and that it should reach all audiences. In September 08, 1951 the Aparecida Radio was born, with the purpose of announcing the Gospel through radio waves.

After 67 years, it has built a solid history in conformity with its purpose of being a competent, professional and trustworthy radio station, by ensuring quality programming dedicated to the activities of the National Sanctuary of Aparecida.

Right from the start, the Aparecida Radio brings in its essence a programming based on the same pillars it purports up to this day: religious formation, quality music, information and evangelization. Currently, more than 25 shows convey the motto “Faith is on the air” to the homes of devotees of Mother Aparecida.

Its broadcasts cover Brazil and the world every day on shortwave, tropical and FM bands. The Aparecida Radio Network has become a content producer and has established partnerships with radio stations all over Brazil that rebroadcast its shows at the national level.
